In his first creation for NDT 1, Martens works with a large ensemble to the fierce compositions \u201cPretty\u201d by Julia Wolfe and \u201cGG Concerto\u201d by Hanna Kulenty \u2014 a celebration of endurance, genius and rebellion. Morau\u2019s \u201cHorses\u201d contrasts this with surreal, theatrical imagery and music by Andrzej Panufnik and Caroline Shaw.
