The schrit_tmacher Festival 2026 opens in Aachen with the new production “Hype the Pain” by the Miller de’ Nobili company, winner of the Dresden City Arts Award 2025. “Hype the Pain” – a space where irony becomes a coping mechanism, where fake news spreads faster than facts, and fleeting images shape ideologies unnoticed. Laughter masks pain in a biased world. Together with five dancers who combine breaking, urban styles and contemporary dance with theatrical forms, Maria Chiara de’ Nobili & Alexander Miller explore how online humour shapes our feelings and beliefs.
