Dancer, choreographer, performer and visual artist Kadir “Amigo” Memiş combines movement, calligraphy and cultural tradition in his work. He is co-founder of the renowned breaking group “Flying Steps” and pioneer of fusions such as “Zeybrea”, a mixture of Turkish folk dance and breaking. In conversation with our audience, he provides insights into his personal life story and his art, always searching for cultural connections, interstices, and the expression of his own artistic identity.
