Kadir “Amigo” Memiş was born in Turkey in 1974 and came to Germany in 1984. In his exhibition “CELESTIAL METAMORPHOSIS”, he combines dance with calligraphic drawings in a very personal way. Kadir sees himself as a “dance writer”, an inseparable unity of “choreography” (dance/movement) and “graphics” (writing), as well as a bridge builder between two cultures, Turkish and German. Today, he uses these influences in combination as an expression of his art.
