“La Singla” tells the incredible story of Antoñita “La Singla”, the deaf flamenco dancer who conquered the world in the 1960s. She performed with Ella Fitzgerald, for Dalí, and at the Olympia in Paris. Her fiery style fascinated artists such as Duchamp and Cocteau. Fifty years after her sudden disappearance, filmmaker Paloma Zapata reconstructs her life, bringing a forgotten icon of flamenco back to life.
