Olivier Award winner Dickson Mbi returns to the schrit_tmacher Festival with the Dutch premiere of his new piece “TELLUS”, which was created in co-production with the festival. The Cameroon-born, London-based choreographer draws inspiration from courageous women and the myth of the water goddess Mami Water. “TELLUS” is an apology to our mothers and to the earth – and a call for renewal. Last year, “The List” described Mbi as “one of the choreographers who have made contemporary dance a superstar art form – alongside Pina Bausch, Akram Khan and Matthew Bourne”.
