“TAMYR” (from the Kazakh word for “roots”) invites the audience to reflect: What does it mean to be human in a fragmented world? How do we stay connected to our origins? What stories live within us?
A reflection of the deep – sometimes painful – heritage we carry within us, showing how we can write a new story by acknowledging and transforming it. Elements from Kazakh rituals and spiritual practices run through the piece, in particular the tradition of Bata – a blessing passed down by the elders. A unifying return to our roots
