Together with Theater Aachen, schrit_tmacher Festival presents an extraordinary co-production: the St John Passion. Johann Sebastian Bach unleashes the full emotional power of the Gospel of John – dramatic, moving, timeless. It is not only about the biblical story, but about humanity itself. Choreographer Guillaume Hulot, former ballet master of the Gauthier Dance Company at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart, appeared in choreographies by George Balanchine, William Forsythe and Jiří Kylián during his professional dancing career. Under the direction of Olivia Fuchs, Hulot and his ensemble add an impressive contemporary layer of movement to Bach’s timeless music.
